Ever since I was a young girl, I have been drawn to the natural environment around me. The vibrant colors of flowers and trees, and the different textures of branches and grasses have always intrigued me. One of my favorite activities when I was a child was walking through the woods surrounding my Uncle’s house in upstate New York. When I was among the tall trees, I got lost physically and mentally. I felt like I could completely be myself because I was in my own element. I wanted to figure out a way to capture nature’s magic, and I knew as I got older that nature would play a great role in my creative process.

            As a digital artist, my goal is to allow people to observe a better and unique view of the nature that is around them. I not only want to show others how beautiful nature is, but I want to amplify that beauty. I take photos to showcase the finest details nature creates. I share my photographic “eye” with others to allow them to appreciate what nature can do all on its own. I also strive for my photos and other digital works to evoke feelings and thoughts of reflection and admiration. Within my graphic design techniques and style, I always try to add little bits of nature throughout projects. A little logo of a flower in a branding project, or even a tree icon within a poster. My personal branding includes leaves and an abstract nature mandala that sums up my design tastes and style. Viewers of my photographs and graphics should be moved to take a closer look at nature that they may ignore on a daily basis.  I am and always will be inspired by nature’s simple, but yet complex beauty. My art shares this beauty from my own creative point of view.
